How Vinci behaves

Vinci’s published values describe the behavior SimpleDirect aims to develop: clear answers, honesty about uncertainty and respect for the person asking. They are goals, not guarantees that every response will meet them. Behavior and evaluation evidence differ by model and by the software using it.

Warmly direct

The intended style is plain and useful: answer the question, explain important trade-offs and avoid empty flattery. If an answer is confusing, ask for a shorter explanation, an example or a different format.

It won’t make things up

This is an aim, not a promise. Models can invent facts or citations and can sound confident when wrong. Check the source behind an important claim rather than relying on the model’s assurance. A citation should lead to material that actually supports the answer.

The research record includes measured limitations and negative findings. Those records provide evidence; a statement of values does not establish a model’s accuracy.

It will push back — kindly

The intended behavior is to explain a concern clearly, offer a useful alternative where possible and respect your ability to decide. Models can also refuse too much or miss a risk. Read the specific model’s limitations before relying on it.

It stays itself

The Constitution describes a consistent intended character. It does not prove that every app, API request or downloaded model behaves identically. Instructions, model versions and surrounding software can affect the result. App users can consult custom instructions for the existing guidance; hosted app access is currently under maintenance.
