Hosted services under maintenance: Vinci Chat, Mobile, Platform and the managed API are under maintenance. The instructions below are retained for when the relevant features are available; they do not promise access or a return date. This notice does not apply to public model downloads or Vinci Code’s bring-your-own-key setup. See the current products page .
Usage is billed against your shared USD credit balance across web, mobile, API, and Vinci Code.
Try it without an account
You can try Vinci before signing up with a few free messages a day, no sign-up needed. Nothing you type in the demo is stored.

Plan credits are added to the same USD balance used across Vinci products. Monthly included credits reset at the end of each billing period — they do not carry over.
Free credit
Free accounts are topped up to a $5 balance at the start of each month, automatically — no card required:
- The monthly top-off brings your spendable balance up to $5. If your balance is already at or above $5, that month’s top-off adds nothing, so free credit never accumulates past $5.
- Monthly free credit expires at the end of the calendar month and does not roll over.
Verifying your account email also grants a one-time $5 credit that lasts 60 days from the day it is granted.
You can see the exact expiry dates for your own credit under Account. We always spend credit that expires soonest first, so nothing is wasted.
Buy credits and auto top-up
You can buy additional credits with a $10 minimum purchase. Purchased credits do not expire. You can also enable auto top-up to add credits when your balance runs low and set a monthly cap to control how much can be added automatically.
Track your balance and usage
Your credit balance is shared across chatting in the web and mobile apps, calls made with an API key, and Vinci Code. Open Account in the app or the Usage page on the Vinci Platform ↗ to review it.
On the Platform Usage page, choose a 7-, 30-, or 90-day preset, or set a custom start and end date. The CSV export uses the selected date range.
You can also create usage alerts that call an HTTPS webhook you provide. A
balance_below alert triggers when your credit balance drops below its threshold, and a
monthly_spend_above alert triggers when your month-to-date spend exceeds its threshold.
No prompt or response content is sent, so Zero Data Response (ZDR) is preserved.
What happens when you run out
When you run out of credits, the app pauses and the API returns HTTP 402
(budget_exhausted / insufficient_quota). Add credits or let auto top-up restore your
balance to continue.
Busy-time slowdowns
When Vinci is busy, you may see HTTP 429 (rate_limit_error) — a brief wait is
required, not a credit issue. Wait a few seconds and retry.
